IBPS SO Syllabus 2015 - Specialist Officer Exam Pattern

As we know that IBPS SO Notification has been published today i.e on 18th November, 2014. Every year lakh of aspirants filled the form. This year , also number of students will fill the on-line application. IBPS will conduct On-line Examination to select the eligible candidates.


So, For any Examination Syllabus and Exam Pattern is very useful foreach candidates. Here , we are providing both so that Appearing candidates can prepare well for On-line test.


IBPS SO Exam Pattern 2014 : The Structure of the On-line CWE will be as follows :

1. For Law Officer & Rajbhasha Adhikari :

IBPS Specialist Officer Syllabus :

A.  English Language:  Word Formation, Passage Correction, Sentence Correction, Spelling, Idioms and Phrases, 
Sentence Completion, Synonyms, Antonyms, Theme detection, Passage Completion, Conclusion etc.

B. Reasoning : Sitting arrangement, Series Completion, Syllogism, Decision Making, Statement Reasoning, Analogy, Coding & Decoding , Series Completion, Blood Relation, Analogy, classification etc.

C. General/Banking Awareness : Knowledge of Current events, India and its neighbouring countries, Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economy, General Polity, Indian Constitution, 
Scientific Research.
Over 50% of the Questions will be related to Economy, Banking and Finance.


D. Quantitative Aptitude: Solving the Numbers, Simplification, Roots, Average, Surd & Indices, Percentage, Profit and Loss, Ratio & Proportion, Boats & Streams, Allegations, Simple and Compound Interest, Stocks & Shares, Clocks, Logarithms, Mensuration, Volume & Surface Area, Permutation & combination , Probability, Heights & Distances Partnership, Chain Rule, Time and work, Time and Distance, Problems on Trains, Pipes and Cisterns, Tabulation, Bar Graphs, Line Graphs, and Pie Charts etc.


E. Professional Knowledge : Questions from Agriculture, Law, 
Marketing, Engineering, IT and HR etc. 
1. For Engineering : Respective Branch syllabus of Gate Exam.
Just Basic Questions will be asked. So just Prepare your basics of Engineering.

2.. For IT Professional Knowledge : Database Management (DBMS) , Networking, Network Security, Web Technologies, Basic Programming Concepts, Basics of Hardware (Microprocessor , Timer, ALU etc.)


NOTE : In IBPS Specialist Officer Examination 2015, there will be a Negative Marking System. For every wrong answer,  0.25 mark will be deducted from marks gained.
